While not a native of Central PA, I have since decided to reside in this area and am
constantly amazed at how many things (being events, restaurants, websites, activities) there are here that are quite secretous (yes I just made that word up). Growing up on the suburban fringes of Philadelphia, let me tell you, attending college in Central PA didn’t seem to have its perks – I could never find anything to do!
So, this page will hopefully serve to inform people
(as I become informed naturally) of what is going on in the area, specifically around Harrisburg.
Speaking of mindless chatter, please do keep me informed on things that I might not be aware of and I’ll be happy to post them as well! (as if there were any such things)

There is a way round the Zimbio/ Technorati problem. You can truncate the rss feed from your blog. That way they only get the first few lines of your post. Truncate feed is a feature in blogger, I guess it will be a feature in wordpress as well.
Hello Harrisburg Blogger,
Two midtown residents recently started a website, http://www.midtowneats.com, to promote the restaurants in Midtown Harrisburg and to eliminate the need for numerous menus in our junk drawers.
We are reaching out to the Harrisburg blog community, which is why you are getting this message. Since you are already part of a talkative group, we’d like to hear your thoughts.
Our site lists restaurants by category with each restaurant having its own blog post; which includes comments and a rating (1-5 stars). We invite you to post comments and ratings. Please include a link to your blog so our visitors can visit your sites.
If you have any questions, just drop us a line and we will be happy to answer.
Thank you.

Hello,
I found MidState Mantra today and really enjoyed it.
I’m an Associate at Himmelrich PR. We are currently working for the Sugarloaf Crafts Festival in Oaks, PA. I thought you would be interested in sharing information about the festival on your blog.
The festival will take place March 20-22 at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA and will feature over 300 artists in pottery, sculpture, glass, jewelry, fashion, home décor, furniture, home accessories, and photography. It’s a truly unique craft show, where you’ll find $20 gemstone earrings next to one-of-a-kind wooden bowls selling for thousands of dollars. Some crafters at the show have exhibited in museums, some have sold their work to celebrities, but all share the passion for original, handmade art, which I’m sure you can relate to.
If you would like more information and images to use on your blog, please let me know and I’ll be happy to provide them. Also, I can send you tickets to the show if you’re interested in attending.
Thanks,
Rebecca
